A note from Ashton's foster home:

Ashton is an incredibly smart, very loving, affectionate boy.  He loves to snuggle and give hugs and kisses.  He learns very fast.  He has a lot of energy, but in a calm way, not in a wild, uncontrollable way.  He is not at all destructive.  He thoroughly enjoys chew toys and sticks.  He is curious about everything.  He is an absolute delight.

The perfect home?  An active family with at least one other dog.  Ashton loves being with mine.  He thrives with the other dogs.  A pool should be included in this home and a fenced yard.  Ashton loves to run in our backyard which is fenced.  It is a joy to see him run and play with our Shelby.  He plays bitey face with Jake and loves to wrestle with anyone who will play with him.   Would he run off?  I don't know, but he was found as a stray.  So he got out and ran off some how.  He did get out of my yard once, but immediately stopped and returned to the yard when I told him to.  He is truly amazingly smart and responsive, especially for a puppy of just nine months.  He would make a great agility and therapy dog.  I'm sure he would be very responsive to any training.
