We found Beatrice in a kill shelter, where she was dirty, matted, and scared to death.  We know nothing about her history.  These are her foster mom's observations so far:

At some point, Beatrice was a beloved pet.  She is a friendly, well-socialized girl who loves all people and animals.  She has great house-manners, and walks well on a leash.  She is obedient and eager to please.  She also loves car rides.

She is much younger than we first thought.  My guess is no older than 6, but her teeth are in such great shape that she may only be 4 or 5.  She is playful when the opportunity arises, but not at all hyper.  I have brought her to work with me several times, and when I'm busy, she will doze calmly near my chair.

Beatrice is an all-around great dog, and will make some lucky family very happy.
