Emmitt is a great boy who has never met a stranger! Adopted three years ago, his family is now moving overseas and cannot take him with them. Emmitt is easy to get along with. He is calm, trains easily, and doesn't get on furniture. He loves to walk, and run, and take car rides with you. He has lived with children from infants to 7 years old, and has been exposed to cats, rabbits and chickens. Emmitt has lived with dogs previously, and they got along well. He is a bit unsure of new dogs because a few unleashed male dogs have challenged him aggressively, causing Emmitt to be cautious. He gets along great with his foster dog sibling. Darling 8-year-old Emmitt needs a 6-foot fenced yard; he does not potty while on a leash. During storms, Emmitt prefers his crate, or a leash, because he can try to bolt outdoors and could jump a shorter fence if he is nervous because of the storm. We love Emmitt, he is a wonderful guy. Meet him and you will think so too! If you are interested in adopting Emmitt and are an approved home, please contact Jeanine or Lynette, or send us a private message on Facebook. If you are not yet approved and live in Southwest or Central Florida, please go to www.grrswf.org and fill out an application. Thank you!
