"My mom was a firefighter that lost her battle with cancer in May. My other 2 (brother golden retriever- and sister cat,Patches) siblings have been placed in homes but I am currently living at a vet clinic. I have been around teenagers and other dogs and cats. I love to play fetch and I am a very young 7 year-old female. If you have place in your heart and your home, please contact Hope at 941-376-8425. Thank you. Love, Sasha"
Sasha is 7 yrs old, 60.8 lbs, spayed. She is housebroken, and listens well to sit, stay, no and down.
Her owner died some months ago and the family very much wants to find Sasha a wonderful home. They are unable to keep her themselves or would do so. They care enough for her that they have been paying boarding fees for her for all this time, and visiting her several times a week. In fact, it was during one of Hope's visits to see Sasha that GRRSWF met her. This is a family that is clearly very committed to the responsibility they feel for their loved one's pet.
Hope told us, "I would really be happy to get her out of the vet and into a home where she can run, play and love. She is very sweet, affectionate and fun. I have known her for 6 (+/-) years. One of my sister-in-law's sons brought her home when she was about a year old. She was homeless, and found a place in Deb's heart and family. Sasha loves to be outside playing with her tennis ball. Deb also had another dog at home other dog (and visiting dogs) as well as family cat. Sasha seemed fine/friendly with all. There were also a lot of people in and out of her home, and Sasha always seemed warm and friendly to all. I appreciate any help in finding her a good home, with love."
This is a courtesy posting for Sasha as the rescue is unable to take her but we would dearly love to help find her a home.
Sasha has been staying with Dr. Smith at Sarasota Vet Center while Hope searches for a home for her. She is a chow, golden retriever according to Dr. Smith.
If you have the space in your home and your heart for this precious little girl who desperately needs a home after losing her Mom, please contact Hope at 941-376-8425.
