Toby 251 is a very sweet 3 year old boy who was surrendered to us by older owners who were unable to give him the exercise and play time he needs.  He is high energy but responds to a firm hand and direction.  He knows commands and will respond well once you get his attention.  Toby is most definitely a squirrel chaser so we do not recommend him for a home with small animals. Other dogs got a bit of a growl from him as did I when I first met him.  Once he decided I was okay he became friendly and even affectionate.  In the car he had his head on my shoulder and really enjoyed being hugged while I drove.  He is very strong and weighs 102 pounds.  He will take a firm (and strong) hand to keep him controlled.  He responds very well to correction and his leash manners have improved vastly with the use of a pinch collar.  All that said, he is a beautiful, friendly boy who should be easy to place in the right home. We would love to see Toby go to a home where he could do agility, obedience, rally or therapy work. He is a noble, special boy and will make a wonderful companion for a dedicated family.
