Turbo is a very sweet, deep red, intact Golden.  He is a little cautious at first but that melts away as soon as he knows he can trust you.   He was very affectionate with his transporter.  He is also very confused at this point.  He is trying hard to understand what is happening to him and where he belongs. 

Turbo is a very handsome boy with a little bit of a frosty face.  Our best guess is that he is 5-6 years old.  We don't have a vet estimate yet.  He has skin issues on his back end that are most likely due to flea dermatitis or a thyroid issue, both very treatable conditions.  He does know some basic commands and responds well to direction.  He's 82 lbs.

The transporter says he gave him lots of hugs and rubs before traveling and he responded very well.  He was very calm and snugly.  Turbo curled up on the bed right behind him.  He showed nothing but very sweet manners and gave licks whenever he could get close enough.  Wherever he goes Turbo will be a very loving addition to the family.  He just needs to get to his forever home as soon as possible.

Turbo is currently being evaluated by a veterinarian.  He will be neutered, run through the standard battery of tests,  and brought current on all vaccinations.  We will better know his overall condition once we have lab results and we will be able to start him on a course of treatment for his skin issues.

This dog will be going to one of our wonderful Foster Homes for evaluation and lots of love. All of our dogs stay in their Foster Homes for a minimum two week evaluation period, then remain there until their Forever Home finds them.

All GRRSWF dogs have undergone an full examination by a veterinarian and any health concerns have been addressed. All dogs are current on vaccines, have been tested for heartworm and intestinal parasites, and are provided with monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives for the duration of their time with us.

Unfortunately, much as we would like to, there are some locations that we are simply unable to cover as we do not have sufficient representation in that area to perform the required home visits prior to the adoption, or follow-up visits afterward.
