Ryder is a blonde 11 week old puppy, as of 11/09/10, surrendered by the breeder due to him needing a special home. Ryder was born missing all his toes on one rear foot and is missing two toes on his other foot. The foot missing the toes has one pad and that is how Ryder gets around. He does not realize he has a disability and acts like a normal puppy. He will occasionally bunny hop or lift up the foot, but otherwise he walks on the one pad. Ryder is very loving and social. He loves to be held and is very attentive. At his first meal in his foster home, he sat patiently and waited for his food to be prepared. Ryder needs a special home that is prepared to raise a puppy with a disability, providing lots of love and patience. We would love to see him as a therapy dog in the future, visiting children with disabilities.

This dog is currently in one of our wonderful Foster Homes for evaluation and lots of love. All of our dogs stay in their Foster Homes for a minimum two week evaluation period, then remain there until their Forever Home finds them.

All GRRSWF dogs have undergone an full examination by a veterinarian and any health concerns have been addressed. All dogs are current on vaccines, have been tested for heartworm and intestinal parasites, and are provided with monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives for the duration of their time with us.
