Caroline just had her 8th birthday but is still full of life and loves children and other dogs. She got a bad haircut but when fully coated is a rich mahogany color. She's crate trained, housebroken and very sweet. A little overweight but we're working on that. She's just looking for a family to love! Spayed, up to date on her shots and on heartworm and flea preventative. She has good lead manners.
Caroline is also a very sweet girl and well socialized. Also healthy and needs nothing medically. Caroline is fine with small dogs and is believed to have lived with a cat in the past.
If you are interested in her and have cats then we would be happy to test her with the clinic cat at one of our network vets’ practice.
Our Area Coordinator was there to see Caroline arrive at her new Foster Home and she told us the following: "Caroline went to her Foster Home today. She is a beautiful, sweet, laid back girl. Foster brother Bowden (a GRRSWF rescue adopted by this wonderful home) seemed to adjust to her, he got a little snarky once, but Caroline doesn’t react. Foster Dad owns a car wash and was going to take her to work to meet the employees and hang out in his office. Caroline seems a little stiff in the rear end, so joint supplements may be needed at her forever home. Her coat has grown back beautifully since the last pictures. She is going to make someone a wonderful pet!"
Caroline's Foster Dad has been sending us her diary:
07/27/10: I met my new foster parents. They are very nice and I am part of the pack. The boss is Renegade, the Alpha, and Bowden is our protector. Dad stayed for 2 hours before he went back to work. I felt very comfortable as it is mellow here. My diariahera has gone away and they are treating my ears real good. Food is good and they have a pool which looks neat but I dont know that i will use it. My new foster sister Shannon came over as she needed to meet me. She has a Golden and a big heart. I like it here and will give you updates as I can as I am having fun! Thanks to two Golden rescues. I am happy!
07/30/10:
Today was a great day! Went to work with my foster dad and helped him with his bookwork. Got some chicken for lunch. All the people there loved me. They competed to see who could treat me the best! In the afternoon I slept on the cool tile floor. It rained and thundered but I dont care. I am not so much afraid to get in the car as I know I am coming home.
