Hi, my name is Tyson.  I am a 9 year old male golden retriever.  Weighing about 70 pounds, I am a pretty good sized dog.  Don’t let my size fool you, I will sit on your lap like a puppy!  My Dad has had me since I was a baby and trained me very well.  I can roll over, sit, speak and lay down on command.  When I have to take care of business, I can be let out to go and come right back when I am finished.  Very obedient! 

Recently, my Dad and Mom had a new baby and there is another one on the way.  The little rascal makes me very nervous and I don’t like the attention being taken away from me.  That is why my parents have to let me live with a family more suitable to my needs.  Just like any dog, I am not perfect…but I do think there are some excellent qualities about me that will warm your heart.

Here are my ASSETS:

- I love to be petted and scratched
- I am very calm most of the day.  In the morning I am ready to go outside.
- I protect my house and yard
- Crate trained, House trained
- I do not chew or destroy anything.

Here are my NEEDS:

- I must live in a house without other dogs, I like all the attention.

- My owners must not have younger children, they make me nervous.

- Please have room for my crate.

- When I get nervous, I scratch and chew myself.  When my parents aren’t at home, I have to stay in my crate with my “cone” on.

I would make a dedicated owner very happy.  I still have a lot of life left in me and I want to share it with someone special.  I will bring my doggy bowls, bed, leashes, toys and a crate with me.  I am up to date on all my shots and flea protection and I am neutered.
