Elvis is a four year old neutered male who came to us from a local shelter. He is very sweet, but very shy.
He gets along with other dogs, cats and kids.
Elvis’ Foster Home tells us the following: “He is a very insecure dog, and carries his toy around with him. He lost about 8 lbs since coming in to rescue because he did not eat for a couple of days when we first took him. He needs a family that will help to build his confidence with training, agility, rally etc. He needs to be with another dog since he and his foster sister love to play. He really needs a family to help him to be the wonderful golden he can be!”
As you can see, Elvis is also a little camera-shy! We will update his bio and photos as soon as we know more about him, and his foster home manages to steal a few better shots of him.
UPDATE 09/17/09 Elvis’ Foster Home tells us the following: He is very shy but once he warms up he is very velcro. He is very quiet and well mannered. He can be a sloppy drinker, but will wait by his water dish for you to wipe his face. He is doing well in his new foster home, and gets along very well with his foster sister. He does not seem to mind the cat at all. Elvis came in very overweight at 94, but with good food and walks he has already begun to shed those pounds, last trip to the vet he was already down to 84!. He loves his walks and he loves his toy Nala. He carries Nala around with him to help him feel secure.
Elvis came to us on 09/04/2009 and is currently in one of our wonderful foster homes for evaluation and lots of love. All of our dogs stay in their foster homes for a minimum two week evaluation period, then remain there until their forever home finds them.

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs but live outside our usual area of operations, please state that in your initial contact with us. This will allow us to ascertain whether we have volunteers in your area who would be able to assist in processing your application; unfortunately, there are some locations that we are simply unable to cover.
