Doozer is a very handsome 4 year old boy. He is neutered, current on all his vaccines, and is wonderfully healthy. At 91 lbs, he is a fairly large boy.
His story is a sad one – he and his littermate brother were adopted as puppies by a couple. Unfortunately the wife died and when the husband remarried it turned out that his new wife wasn’t crazy about having the late wife’s dogs in her home. Doozer and his brother were then adopted together by a loving couple, who came to find out that having two dogs was just too much for them so they asked us to find a fantastic forever home for Doozer.
Doozer loves kids, other dogs, cats, everyone. He is a very sweet boy who is still confused about what’s happening in his life – three homes in less than a month is a lot for a boy to process – but his foster home reports that he is beautifully behaved, learns quickly, is eager to please, loves to cuddle on the couch and snuggle in bed if you’ll let him. He adapts very quickly to new situations and is going to be an absolutely amazing addition to the right family.
While he is still undergoing evaluation, our initial assessment is that Doozer would be best in a home with another dog, and we believe that he would just love to have a little boy or girl person that he can hang out with as they grow up.
Doozer came to us on 08/03/09 and is currently in one of our wonderful foster homes for evaluation and lots of love. All of our dogs stay in their foster homes for a minimum two week evaluation period, then remain there until their forever home finds them.
