Baxter is not much over 1 year old. He is very sweet, but of course has the normal puppy issues, he needs obedience training, but does know the sit command. He likes to jump like all pups do.
He rode very well in the car, however, given the opportunity to run, he will in a heartbeat. Leash training is a must. Baxter weighs in right under 63 lbs. His coat has been cropped, not shaved, just cropped a bit. Baxter is very blonde and will have a great coat when it grows back in.
He was abandoned in a dog run when his owner moved and left him there. A neighbor called the local animal shelter. This poor little guy was full of fleas and needed all of his shots. He was neutered the week of 10-19, and his infected ears flushed while under the anesthesia. He has been moved to a foster home and more information will be posted as it becomes available.
Baxter came to us on 10/16/09 and is currently in one of our wonderful foster homes for evaluation and lots of love. All of our dogs stay in their foster homes for a minimum two week evaluation period, then remain there until their forever home finds them.

We serve Southwest Florida from Naples to Sarasota, and sometimes slightly beyond if needed. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs but live outside our usual area of operations, please state that in your initial contact with us. This will allow us to ascertain whether we have volunteers in your area who would be able to assist in processing your application; unfortunately, there are some locations that we are simply unable to cover. We are not able to work with families on the East coast of Florida.
