Chance was rescued from Iran in Feb 2019 at age 10 months.   6/25/19 and is thought to be a golden mix.  We researched pups in Iran, and he may be mixed with the Saluki, a Persian greyhound..  He loves to run and play and needs a fenced in yard.  He is crate trained, and if insecure, he will go into it on his own.  He will bark at a stranger entering the home, but is calm in public.  He walks well on a leash, is housebroken with rare accidents.  He loves to play ball and is good about bringing it back for another throw.  He is a bit mouthy when playing, is affectionate with his family, and likes to snuggle on the couch.  He will chase our cat, but hasn't been aggressive with her.  He has tolerated our female golden, but she is submissive.  He has not gotten along with our other male pup, and would do best with no other pets in home and no children, as he is large and mouthy

If that approval is given, you will be asked to complete an application, clearly stating on it that you are interested in a special needs or senior dog.  However, please be aware that, unfortunately, there are some locations we simply cannot cover because we do not have sufficient representation in those areas to perform the required home visits prior to the adoption, or follow-up visits afterward. If that is the case, we will be happy to refer you to a local rescue or shelter.
