Sandy came to us from a shelter and is estimated at 10. She currently is underweight at 52lbs. Once we get some weight on her she will have a dental to remove some bad teeth. She loves car rides and climbs right in. She is very sweet and like to cuddle on the couch. She was very well behaved at our vet. She loves to go for walks and is very good on the leash. Her foster mom has not heard her bark yet but that can always change. We have not cat or dog tested yet, but she wags her tail when she sees another dog. 

GRRSWF dogs have undergone a full examination by a veterinarian, and any health concerns have been addressed. We do not have a facility, our dogs live in foster homes. Only approved families will have meet and greets set up. Also please understand we do have a wait list for dogs under 8.

 PLEASE NOTE: We serve Southwest Florida from Naples to Ocala. If you live OUTSIDE of our service area and are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please note that we will only consider an application for senior dogs (over the age of 10) or dogs with special needs (usually medication).  BEFORE submitting your application, send an email to info@GRRSWF.org to request an exception to our service area. If that approval is given, you will be asked to complete an application, clearly stating on it that you are interested in a special needs or senior dog.  However, please be aware that, unfortunately, there are some locations we simply cannot cover because we do not have sufficient representation in those areas to perform the required home visits prior to the adoption, or follow-up visits afterward. If that is the case, we will be happy to refer you to a local rescue or shelter.
