Welcome, Mickey!
This little (40-ish pounds) guy is smart, sweet and cute as a button. Our vet estimates him to be 2-3 years old. He loves to romp, and plays well with others, both human and canine. Although he is obviously a golden mix, he has a true golden personality and loves everyone he meets. Mickey warms up to new people quickly, and the staff at the local animal shelter loved him. He is in a foster home now, and we will post his foster family's feedback as soon as we have it.
In the meantime, don't you just love those fluffy ears?
And can you imagine how happy Mickey will make his new home, just by being in it?
All GRRSWF dogs have undergone a full examination by a veterinarian, and any health concerns have been addressed. If you live OUTSIDE of our service area and are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please note that we will only consider an application for senior dogs (over the age of 8) or dogs with special needs (usually medication). BEFORE submitting your application, send an email to info@GRRSWF.org to request an exception to our service area. If that approval is given, you will be asked to complete an application, clearly stating on it that you are interested in a special needs or senior dog. However, please be aware that, unfortunately, there are some locations we simply cannot cover because we do not have sufficient representation in those areas to perform the required home visits prior to the adoption, or follow-up visits afterward. If that is the case, we will be happy to refer you to a local rescue or shelter.
